as a tactical matter, some DeKalb police now agree -- in order to send a message to county government, which is cutting budgets and squeezing benefits.

An anonymous, popular DeKalb police blog is calling for an "all out ticket strike." The same thing happened last year, and it cost DeKalb $5 million in lost revenue, county officials say.

Very nice...Though I think their budget should be cut... Too many cops overall. Why not let them resign and just not hire new ones for a while? Let the force naturally thin out.

No Gwinnett county lost their license to run radar/laser. So all the locals and the Gwinnett police do not run radar/laser anymore. But the GSP and County Sheriff still can.

The county I live in they have not been able to use radar/laser all year. And the roads are no safer or more dangerous than they where before. People seem to drive how they want to drive whether the cops are there or not. I hope somebody runs the stats at the end of the year, because the cops acted like the roads would be totally unsafe and people would be dieing left and right without there presence. Also be funny to see if all the cops that where running traffic started doing real work and if the crime rate for other stuff went down.
