Default Arizona Loop 101 navalert users only

I would like to get some feedback form loop 101 navalert users.

Since the cameras are so close together we may have an option of on only loop 101 cameras removing the voice alerts, thus you would only receive the initial chime to warn you are coming up to a speed camera and then the all clear sound. the unit would still flash the speed limit and alert "reduce speed" for those cameras. it would make for a much quieter ride.

Feedback from 101 drivers only please.

    Chris

I am happy the way it is. What i would like to see in the next generation is an external speaker jack.

Or pump up the volume. dance dance
A nice super bright red flashing LED would be nice during alerts since its hard to hear sometimes and the display isnt that bright in the daytime.

Even just a nasty loud beep tone along with the voice would be good.

How about an brightness adjustment for lets say bright in the daytime, and turned down to dim for at night.

Thumbs up Re: Arizona Loop 101 navalert users only

I second the brightness feature. This would be a nice step and would help my eyes at night.

Also maybe a little more volume for when my windows are down at freeway speeds. It could maybe use a little more volume at those speeds, in that situation.

"These are just some constructive, additions that would be nice to navalert."

And just think they would be the first ones to implement these nice changes

So Navalert, what do you think about these "possible" changes?

I haven't traveled the 101-Loop quite yet although I'll be traveling all over the Phoenix valley next week. Here in Yuma, it doesn't show anything in "Safe Mode". I passed by five school zones and not one was recognized in database build 8084.

As for your proposed changes, I can’t weight-in until later, although the cameras on the 101 are not really that close together. It’s just that the density is higher than in most other areas I’ve traveled.

For now, I’m still trying to understand the user’s guide and the various codes. Is it true that this thing is only set to display in km and not mph?
    Regards,

No it will display MPH I have mine set to MPH you have to toggle through the menu in stationary mode and you'll find where it says MPH with the M kind of spread out looking in the display. You switch it here to which ever you prefer leaving that mode on the display weather its MPH or KPH so if it says KPH switch it so the display reads MPH then leave it on there and don't touch anything and it will automaticall then swap from KPH to MPH.

Thats the best way I can describe it as it was a update from Navalert you used to have to encouter a cam for it to swap. That might still make it swap too so if you can't figure it out try that too..

    Cheers
