Default Hello Everyone!! Ontario-Bands in Use

Well I've ordered my STI from RadarRoy and in the meantime I've been reading as much as I can in here an anywhere else online for that matter. I never thought I'd use a RD but since the recent purchase of my Vette I've been nothing but a LEO magnet. I have a Nissan daily driver and consistently do the usual 10-20km/hr over the limit and have had no tickets in 5 years. I drive my vette for 2months 10-20km/hr over and get pulled over twice in 2months. Anyways I'm feeling targetted and I believe its BS to target drivers of certain car models. I even considered selling the Vette but instead I purchased an STI driver.

Special thanks to all the guys on this board and to Radar Roy.

Question: What bands can I totally ignore in Ontario? If X and K bands aren't in use I can disable these and reduce falshing. Any other bands in use here?

    Hey CanuckSTI_User,
Congrats on your new Sti, they are the bee's knees

Your not alone copping dramas with your hot ride. I too had/have the same broblems with my motorcycles. I've got one ticket just because i was in the wrong place at the wrong time, even though the HP didn't have my speed! It's like they (Police) get great pleasure out of writing tickets if you look like you will go fast. Anyway, when in doubt....out run 'em 8)
    Speed Safe,
    RR

K definately don't turn that off

X... well I have X on so think about that

Haven't seen a real X in ages but still... there is nothing saying that X cannot be used, and X band guns were sold to the police agencies in ONT at one time. There's nothing really stopping some cop from grabbing one out of the back and using it. Also particularly pay attention in small towns that probably still use 'em.

Turn off the x band when your in your town definately, especially after 3 - 4 weeks of having nothing but K and Ka encounters. When you go on a trip and whatnot, definately put the X back on.
