Default Getting rid of K-55 X Band in Ohio!!

There are 5 X band units being auctioned off on ebay or around $100. They are from Ohio. They also each have a unit #. I guess some Ohio cops are switching over or upgrading. They say they are working perfectly fine as if they were pulled right from a cop car.

I see X band K-55s on ebay all the time. I wonder if that means X will no longer be a threat there. Do you know if it's the highway patrol's units or some city/town?

I hope they arent getting rid of the x band. X band is easy to detect, you just got to know if its on.

I doubt that these are really from the ohio cars, because they have them mounted outside the car where they will be damaged and possibly not see much resale value.

    Default few

Ohio might be getting rid of a "few" X band guns but they will NEVER get rid of all of the X band radar guns.

Default re: Ohio State Highway Patrol

The State Patrol is in the process of switching over to the MPH Python II from the K55 X-band units. Do not look for X-band to go bye bye anytime soon as most of the Python-equipped units are X-band. I have come across a handfull of troopers running K-band Pythons as well in southwest Ohio. Of course, over the Fourth of July weekend, I took several X-band hits from the trusty K55 too. Moral of the story... when in Ohio keep your X-band active.
