Instant X alert in NJ?

I was driving in Toms River NJ and anyone who does so KNOWS the cops are BAD there. I was on route 37 east when I got a weak X band alert then all of a sudden a huge full scale X band as if it were an inst. On hit. Do they use that? Is there a such thing? So far NJ cops have hit me with X, and Ka like crazy. mY X50 is 100 for 100 and counting.

X-band radar (MPH K-55?) can definitely be used in instant-on mode.
