    Default Windshied coating interference?

I have an 07 BMW X5 with the Heads up Display option. I am told by the Dealer that the windshield has a coating on it to allow all the HUD info to appear on the windshield. I want to get a Bell STi ( Ontario..Spectre land). Will the coating interfere with the radar detector? I currently use a toll transponder without any issues.

    Thanks.

It shouldn't, and usually the HUD coating is only on a particular spot on the glass.

Thanks. I feel better now. Now, if that remote STi unit ( Bell STiR)would only be released!

It wont, but make sure that the suction cups stay away from the coating.
