Will the cups fit the STi bracket?

To be honest, I'm not sure. From the photo it sure looks as if they
would. I also believe that Whistler has black Cups as well.

    Anyone, tested this out before?

I would think that clear suction cups would blend in well with a windshield. The performance of the RD is what's important to me anyway.

Clear would blend in if it were being mounted on the clear part of the windshield. I have mounted mine at the top of the tint line and black is a better option.

Yeah, that's my thinking as well. Clear wouldn't stand out as much
as something you can't really see through.

If it was mounted at the top of the tint line, I would think that you wouldn't see it that much from the outside anyway.

Not the case. Take a look. The clear ones actually stand out. It's the outline of the cups.

I'm not making this up.....you can see it very clearly with the clear suction cups....Im going tomorrow to see what options a tint guy has for this scenario. Maybe a two inch piece of tint across the hole windshield to block this.

If you want to make the suction cups black just color the non stick side with a sharpie black wide tip pen. They will stick just like non colored and you will effectively make them look black from both inside and outside the car.
