Someone posted that the V1 looked like a tank. It's dimensions are 4.5 in. L x 3.6 in. W x 1.0 in. H. Would anyone care to post the dimensions of their detector for comparison? I would imagine that any differences would probably be small. Drive safely and happy motoring.

The Valentine, 16.2 cu. in., is smaller than the Escort X50, 18.95 cu. in., and the Bel RX65, 16.32 cu.in. As you can see, the Escort is the biggest of the top three radar detectors. On top of that, the V1 weighs less than both the X50 and RX65.

The V1 looks bigger because of it's boxy build and because it's wider than the other 2. But it really isn't. It's the thinnest and shortest (depth wise) of the big 3.

I think I was the one that said that. But, what I meant was that it is built like a tank. Not that it's the size of one.

The Rx65 is very small and great. I also have a Solo S2, but that thing is the size of a BRICK.
