Default Hey! Best Buy *not* totally clueless

I was at BB last night as they are working on a stereo install for me. I was perusing their detectors - they had Escort x50 and 9500i red. And a bunch of Crapras.

One guy stuck his head in the install bay (new guy) and asked what the best detector BB sold was as he was holding a phone -- obviously on with a customer. The guy working on my car says "Escort, hands down."

So at least they aren't all idiots. Of course, my head unit needs to be re grounded, so I'll be out on the rest of my decision...

That is nice to hear... normally there is a 'diamond in the rough'. As far as them installing your car stereo: Meh... I had to fix the issue that BB created on one of my friends cars, so I am not super keen on suggesting people go there: But if they mess something up.... they do 'fess-up' and reimburse you for it... at least that was the experience with my friend.

What was wrong with the ground? Did they do it?

Yeah, I bet he is just someone working there while in school or something.
There is always a few good ones about anywhere but being there while they are is just luck.

Of course not. Any blanket generalization like that will fail at some point -- especially when you're trying to generalize about a large group of people like Best Buy employees.

If there's two things I can't stand, it's people that make blanket generalizations and the Dutch!

He had hooked up the mute wire to the speed sensor wire.

Acceleration=mute. So I could drive or listen, but not both.

    It's fixed.
