Default Ku band, yes or no?

This has probably already been asked, but...
In the U.S. , has anyone encountered a Ku threat? Are Ku band guns being used here yet?
Does enabling it reduce detection abilities in the other bands?
    Thanks

The band has been approved for many years but never used. There has been talk for a couple years now that KU was coming, but I do not think anyone has it yet. I think SML was going to test KU this year, but it did not pan out. Roy may know more about that or Sethy. If I were going to buy a new detector I would definitely have to get one with KU as an option. This means for me rx65 or V1. The x50 can SUPPOSEDLY be upgraded, but why go through the hassle of sending it in and waiting when there are 2 other options as good or better.

When I got my V1 I briefly turned on Ku coverage.

I was annoyed at the sheer number of falses, I believe mod or Sethy told me that it was due to cell phone interference (not necessarily mine)

I think satelite dishes use Ku also, which would cause falses.

Thanks for the info. I've had it enabled for awhile, I guess I'll turn it off.
Never got any Ku alerts though...no falses.

So theoretically, if there's all this Ku-band interference out there, wouldn't it prevent LEOs from adopting Ku-band radar in the US until it's cleaned up enough for an accurate reading?
