    Default New User Saying Hello

I've been reading the posts for a little while now, and thought I would join and say hey.

I haven't had a RD in quite a while and thought of getting one soon. I bought a Mustang GT convertible, and have already been pulled over with a warning. I thought it funny as I zoom around in my Q7 more, but I guess it is what it is.

I thought I was going to buy a Valentine 1, but of course the more I read and research, the more I over analyze and procrastinate and........

So anyway, now I can't decide, Valentine, Beltronics GX65. I want to see what they’re using in my area for radar etc, Southern WA/Portland Oregon and try to decide from there.

    Anyway, like I said, Hey!!!

Welcome aboard! That's beautiful country up there.

As a general rule, if you drive on rural interstate stick to the V1, if you drive in metro areas or crowded suburbs go with Bel-scort.

Welcome from a fellow Mustang guy(check my sig).

First off, a RD isn't enough for where you live. I-5 and the surrounding freeways are patrolled by LEOs that use both laser and I/O Stalker radar. You need a good RD and a laser jammer setup to deal with them. The V1 is an excellent choice for that area.

    Default Yep..exactly

First off thanks..and all the comments are exactly what I've concluded and have added to the confusion.
Rural living...interstate I-5 where they are crazy with speed traps, going into the city, Portland metro area where they're adding more and more cameras.

So, I agree on the laser jammer setup as well, and probably the v1, right now anyway.

I'm not sure what your countermeasure budget is, but if you order straight from the manufacturer, both the V1 and 9500ix(you mentioned cameras) comes with a 30 day money back guarantee. You could buy both and return the one you like least.

Edit: You might want to block out the plate number on the picture of your car.
