Would you want a video camera / DVR in your Radar Detector?

There are many <$200 car video camera / DVR gadgets on the market now (see 3 device below upper row). It would be great if radar detectors incorporated this feature since it's already up on our windshields and with GPS it could overlay our speed on it. Of course you may not want your speed recorded or video at all for spirited driving.

I currently have a diy setup behind my rear-view mirror for insurance purposes (see pics below lower row)

What do you guys think? Would you pay extra for this? I know I would!

It's a neat idea but only a few true, hardcore radar detector nuts drive and record their detector. I guess I'm a nut.

What's the BMW camera setup? That looks pretty cool.

I'm trying to find a good accident cam to install on my car. I have a rather high profile and well paid career and would be a target for lawsuits if ever involved in an accident. Would like to document if it's another person's fault. I've looked at TruScene, but I thought there were some other cameras on the market. I also saw the one from Brickhouse Security.

Any suggestions?

My only problem with the dash cams is they don't catch the electronics in action. I like to see the alerts not just hear the noises.
