It does pretty well, I still think my Whistler 695 is an overall better performer. My gf is in love with my Whistler so I'm currently using the Cobra lol.
Would you be willing to test out how Cobras effect detection on other nearby detectors? I have observed my 955 become almost blind to K-band while my friend with a 9 band cobra was driving behind me, and I think it was MEM-TEK who has also indicated a cheap 6 band cobra cutting back the range of one of his nicer RDs when powered on nearby. So just because a detector isn't giving Ka band or pop falses doesn't necessarily mean they aren't interfering, becuase the Cobra may be hindering the range of the other.

Also, I forgot to mention that the XRS 9545 I had was better at picking up automatic doors than police radar.

That's because they lack advanced filtering. No filtering with poor sensitivity is about the worse RD combo you can have.

You could have one of those that jams radar.

I'm not saying that they don't cause interference, what I'm saying is that the particular model in question does not make another detector false on ka band. I am willing to test it out, but detectors that are not completely stealth are going to indeed cause interference with other detectors. Even my 695 will cause interference.

The 6 and 9 band Cobras will cause interference and falses on other detectors, cheaper Whistlers such as the 1732DE and some of the low end Whistlers also cause ka falses on other detectors and of course interference. So in a nutshell, but cheap Cobras and older Whistlers cause interference and falses with other detectors.

Another thing I forgot about the Cobra I briefly had: the suction cups and bracket weren't that great so it would bounce like a mofo.

Typical response from a Cobra user. A buddy of mine has one of these POS detectors and he says the same thing. It saved him numerous times, it must work.

i had a cobra before i jumped to the escort and more recently, the V1

cobras are not BAD detectors... they just have some issues. the cheaper ones from walmart are pretty bad. cobras get good when your looking around 200 bucks. range is fairly good for that price. laser detection is moderate as well. problem is, I/O on a cobra is useless...

difference between the cobra and high end belscort / v1 detectors is that the range is MUCH better and tends to have less falses. problem is, with the 9500ix, you run the change of showing less cops as well with its lockout

    He failed to define "save".

Throwing your cobra at a LEO who is about to taze you because you drive like a jackass causing him to miss isn't what most call a "save"...
