    Default Bushnell Testing vs Valentine 1 & V940

    I bought a Bushnell Velocity 10-1911 at Fry's today. Was testing my V1 with quick bursts and it detects them every time, no matter how short even from a pretty far distance, even if i shoot in the complete opposet direction. I tried my buddies Beltronics V940 and it takes about 4-5 seconds to detect me holding down the trigger. I tried making 1/2 second bursts and it seemed to never detect it all. Even from 10 feet away. I tried about 1 second bursts and after about a dozen of them it start alerting. I also noticed the off-axis detection is virtually non-existent on the V940 and that the detector will start slowly ramping down (for about 10-15 seconds) once I stop shooting. Seems like it's faking sensitivity and ramping. The V1 goes silent within 1 to 2 seconds of me letting off the trigger.

    *Note: the V940 was in highway mode, stock settings, the V1 was in A mode with pop on, default mute settings.

    @GreenRadar,

    He may be, ive shown him my many videos of locals using I/O, most of them sloppy, but some are sneaky as ****. I will say that I'm sure the V940 is a fine performer against constant on (maybe not off-axis) and i've seen it detect LIDAR just fine. He is definitely thinking about a jammer after he rode with me and saw me get tagged by a cop. He was like "wow he kept shooting at you for like 20 seconds, i usually just get 1 blip", and I was like "yea... cuz he got ur speed within that 1 blip :-P".

    @ahmadr,

    The v940 is only 2.5 months old, I doubt anything is wrong with it. I think it just can't detect quick trigger and does very poorly at I/O.

    If what you described is correct, something is wrong with either the v940 or the gun.

    And only a fool would JTG

    please do not tell us you JTG, if you do, please refrain from doing so in any future encounters, when you get hit with Laser slow to the PSL and then turn off your jammer ASAP, this will keep LEOs from learning more about laser jammers and delay the possibility of them becoming more illegal in the future

    With the exception of 4-5 seconds to alert after holding down the trigger, it sounds typical M4.

    Who ever said i was doing JTG? I'm fully aware of the JTK procedures and don't need a lecture on it. I just said I get a long alerts. I'm in TX, highways are pretty flat and you can get quite a distance before you're real close to em.

    *Update*: I also tested out my buddy's RX65 from 2006 which is I think the S7 model. It's much more responsive to QT than the V940. The only time it performs poorly with QT is in City mode and in City it's about the same 4-5 second delay as the V940 in Highway.

    Is the new RX65 more expensive because its the M4? It was like mid $200 range in 2006.
