Default Any one use a visor mount on the header?

Hi I have a bel V955 and got the visor mount with it thinking I could just mount this directly on the header panel right were the windshield meets the roof, to the left of the rearview mirror and above it anybody else doing this and if so any problems from it . Mine is in a 2003 Silverado pickup.

It rides solid and I can get to the buttons ok I used a fused stealth wire and piggybacked it off the mirror. Of course the laser sensor for the rear is blocked by the header but figured that was useless anyways, only thing I could come up with is maybe the speaker hole in the top of the bel is to vent heat also?

If its level and has a clear view it should be fine, maybe even perfect.

My V1 is on a Visor clip n the headliner; million times better than suction cups IMO.

However my V1 is not on my header, thise things get up to well over 400F and I don't want the V1 or the mount to melt, besides the engine block might effect performance.

LOL! This is totally not what I imagined when I pictured an RD on a "header".
