Testing only benefits a maker if 1) the maker makes a good product and 2) the tester can competently test a product in the correct manner to shows its abilities. These testers failed at number 2.

I'd totally agree with both of those observations.

    2) Their long range tests are worthless. The long range performers were not allowed to 'shine' and their measurement variable of signal strength makes all detectors look 'good'. Put the detection distance of 35.5 up and you will get to see where the Redline shines...but this did not happen.

    3) They did NOT test the Laser Interceptor, which DOES jam the Laser Ally, and instead 4 (really just three) models, all which have inferior abilities to the LI. Anyone serious about the RD world KNOWS the LI is one of the best performers, and possibly the best. Why would you not test it?

    4) The off-axis testing was not done with any mounting height consistencies and presumably has been done with different vehicles, making it worthless. It also looked at 1/4 mile only and used signal strength instead of distance as the primary value of measurement. It makes the SOLO S3 look as if it offers protection at the same level that the Redline does. The V1 is boasted to be superior in the graph but even the testers admit their results are crap because the V1 was mounted 1 foot higher (or more) than the other detectors, giving it an unfair radar-detection advantage.

    5) I find it hard to believe so many detectors outperformed the V1 in LIDAR detection. This is also likely due to it being mounted 1 foot or more higher than the next highest detector.

    6) Somehow the SOLO S3 has become immune to the Spectre III and Elite AND the Spectre testing has since been changed since publication.

Maybe I am just a research nut because it is my profession but who knows.
The current LI does not jam the current Laser Ally. If you are hit by a Laser Ally, there is a greater than 95% chance the LI will be completely ineffective. Not bragging, just sharing. LI's first attempt against the old gun was very good. Our test show it was about 50% effective when the LIDAR was used properly; aim steady....then shoot. But that was a long time ago. Blinder and LI both currently detect the Laser Ally but do not jam.
Videos on this forum show the Laser Ally is jammed by the current LI with current firmware.
Look at the June 2011 video we have posted. It is testing the most recent version of both units. This is the current status. I would not post a new video of a Laser Ally defeating a 2010 LI???? I will give Blinder credit. They at least have the balls to show up head to head at SML where LI did not.
They are not using the latest LA. I am sure it was not intentional but it is not the latest version and is not representative of what is being used "in the wild". It is probably the software version which LI used to develop their first attempt to jam. That was some time ago, but most LI users were not even aware that they made an attempt (a good while ago).

I am going to do my own POP test next month, using a Valentine One and Redline, with V1 having POP enabled. I'll bet there is no POP in use on that run, to/from.

Would agree w/ya, I haven't picked up any at all on the V1 on my limited runs thru those areas. If you do manage to pick up a POP or two please let us know when / where.

Also that's one noisy V1 when you run w/POP on and even worse w/KA guard off since you will probably pick up every RD in NV LOL
