Speed cameras in the Chicago metro area

Moved from the Chicago metro area to Southeast Michigan over five years ago, and we travel back several times a year. Earlier (this year I think) I read that Chicago approved the use of speed cameras.

i have an Escort 9500ix. I have experienced the red light camera warnings when I go back to visit (Michigan has outlawed red light cameras), and I have experienced the red light camera and also speed camera warning in OH.

Does anyone have any knowledge if speed cameras have been in fact been implemented in the Chicago metro area?

Yes, speed cameras have been approved in Chicago. There are currently only 4 that are being tested until January 3. We already have these included in Defender so, as long as you keep your 9500ix's Defender database updated, you will be alerted to them when you travel to Chicago.
