*** Installed radar detector

I bought a used SL65 AMG and it has an installed K-(edited)0 radar detector. I'm big fan of Valentine One, and have been testing a pair of the new passport max.

As soon as I saw the remote control for the K-(edited), my first thought was what kind of Chinese garbage is installed in this high end.

My searches for the K 4(edited) haven't turned up much worth while. Help

Having a that device in a Mercedes AMG is just wrong. It's like wearing an Armani Suit to a Hillbilly Bar.

I've recently spoke to them about some things, including some of this old history with the hopes of healing old wounds. I'd like to think at this point they've moved on.

I happened to be at that event as was Roy, but in fact, he wasn't there for that day of the testing of that unit and basically only reported the findings that the GoL did. The results were not fabricated. In fact, that was the day when I became a big fan of Whistler as I had never experienced their units before and when I saw a <$200 detector trounce a $2000 one, it made me a believer.

RadarBusters when it was purchased back from Hayneedle is in fact another corporate entity.

Of course, I am no lawyer, but I would think any such arrangements would be moot at this point. At least I hope so. I did edit the mfr name as per the guidelines of the site, since the OP obviously knows what company he is referring as do the posters that follow.

The STiR Plus or the new revised 9500ci (actually my stronger recommendation at this point) should be where you are at if you are looking for a high-end custom installed. On the other hand, from my driver's seat, the V1 remains the benchmark in which all other detectors should be measured (and I include the M3s in that statement as great as they are).

I just spent the whole July 4th weekend (all three days and 1500 miles of driving) with the V1 versus Maryland State Police (who now favor police laser) and the V1 didn't miss a single shot, not one. And now Dragon Eye's are being used in a good number of encounters.

As a side note, I've got some videos that I am going to post that are awesome. Laser enforcement in MD was the most intense I have seen. I think I encountered no less than 16 encounters. Veil saved my butt on multiple occasions.. One at 80 in a 55 (extremely lethal encounter), another with 74 in a 55 and another at 45 in a 30 (extremely lethal). The V1 has no equal in laser performance and without question is the one I am most comfortable with in those situations. So why switch?

To my knowledge, the last update to firmware was the addition of band segmentation and RDR.
