Welcome to the board Ty. You left out the critical information. Where you from? What type of driving do you do? City? Highway? How much?

no need for a sti unless you live where RD's are illegal. Get a x50 or rx65.

You cant go wrong with either x50 or V1.

From what I have learned, however, x50 you will have less falses then with the v1 and they both perform the samilarly.

V1 of course has arrows the point in the direction of the radar alert.

If you are driving in New Jersey, I might go for a V1 because it has slightly better X-band sensitivity in real life situations, however I drive in New Jersey all the time and have not had trouble with x-band, infact I think it is superb, but I have not used a v1.

Let us know your driving conditions and we can better help you.

Yem is correct you can't go wrong with a V1 period and X50 would be my 2nd choice!

pay 50 dollars more than an x50 for the V1 and you have access to all future upgrades for only 75 dollars for a complete overhaul hardware and software upgrade when something new comes out. If anything new comes out within a year after you bought the V1 you send it in and get the upgrade for free. Lets see you do that with escort. everytime you want a hardware upgrade with escort you throw away your old detector and drop another 350 dollars for a new one.
