    Default Midland NMO CB Antenna

Anyone have experience with a Midland 18352 NMO base and lowband antenna? This is a kit, with the trunk lip NMO mount and the lowband base/whip for about $20 online. The connector is listed as a PL295, but not sure what the difference between that and PL259.

Just the Antenna alone at $20 isn't bad.

    Description:
Midland 18352 Deluxe Wideband Ham CB Antenna Kit With Trunk Lip Mount, NMO style trunk lip mount, 17 feet of coax with an unprocessed end, PL295 connector, High grade antenna featuring a tapered, heavy duty stainless steel whip, 24KT plated antenna connections, and a 500 watt coil (18-352 183-52)

Looks like a good deal if it works OK. It says "unprocessed end"? Maybe that means you need to solder the 259 onto it?

The antenna sounds like it may need some extra trimming to get your SWR set...

    I'm just guessing here...

That antenna looks identical to the Antenex C27, right down to the chrome around the bottom of the coil and the doo-dad that holds the whip. $20 for a decent CB antenna (assuming it is) and the lip mount is a pretty good deal, considering the C27 alone usually goes for around $30-35.

I'm pretty sure "PL295" is just a typo.

Well I received the Midland antenna....Yep the PL295 was a typo...Pics attached...install later this week. Trunk lip mount looks kinda, well cheap.

Whip is 49.25" long and a trim table was provided
