I did mean to say the 9500ci. Very good to hear that it picks up rear radar well! I'll have to watch a few more videos to see how it compares to the STi and Redline.

And as a last comment (and one more post towards 15), how important are rear-mounted laser shifters?
Isin't it already going to be too late, or are there cops that use laser while roaming....

A couple months ago I ordered a new Passport SRX. After spending awhile on these fourms, I realized that this was old technology and not going to cut it.

I am in the process of selling/returning...

Since I'm only halfway through the install, I can put everything back in the box nicely and sell it. I've only mounted one laser shifter and the radar unit so far.

I'll upgrade to the 9500ci or...

Maybe I'll remount the radar detector a little further back under the grille.
The car rides pretty low already (about 2") so that should help as well.

I guess there's not a way to "upgrade" then, without purchasing an entire new unit.

Would turning it off help me in this regard (should I mount the turnoff toggle)?

The headlights on the 240 are not enclosed in plastic. The lamps are (inside the headlight buckets), but I can't see veil being painted on that for a noticable effect.
