How prolific is it? Do you know what parts of Cali it's mostly used? (Or is it CHP?) I do a lot of back and forth from NV to CA. I should probably do a firmware update.... I'm also wondering if...
I've been away from the forums for quite some time due to work and family issues so I'm not sure if this has been covered here yet, but I wanted to post regardless.
Last year I went through 3...
Thank you for not forgetting about all your mac users out there. I'm so sick of having to use my wife's Window's laptop.
I had a 9500ix and while it was a great detector, there were quite a few close calls with Ka band. The Redline (the V1 being similar) is going to give you a lot more breathing room.
Why do threads like these always die with no resolution?
Yes he did switch it to C/O then to POP then back again.
Comfirmed 33.8 POP today on I-15 South. Good thing I left it on!
IIRC it was a Torrance County Sheriff car.
Had an A M A Z I N G c/o k band encounter on 84N towards Albuquerque. I didn't check how many miles away it was, but it blew me away. Had 4 Ka band encounters, some around some pretty steep...
My wife always gets a kick out of saves. It's like a game for her on road trips.
The higher the better for RADAR detection.
I drive a 2010 Tundra.
Cliff is definitely the benchmark in customer service that other people in business should strive for. Such a rare and refreshing commodity in todays world.[/QUOTE]
I agree. A great way to...
Awesome. I can't wait to finally get some real world encounters on mine when I move!
I bought one and put 1 head on the back of my white van...I even tested it...couldn't get it to work at all. What a piece of junk!
I'll trust your experience and leave POP off. I'm glad they use LIDAR, though...my LI's need a workout. :)
I know from reading threads over the years that turning POP on reduces reaction time and sensitivity on almost all bands, but I hadn't paid too much attention the details since I thought it was...
One thing I miss more than ANYTHING from when I switched to the Redline from the 9500ix was the button on top to switch to dark mode instantly. With the Redline you have to hold the buttons down and...
They both have weaknesses and are both great detectors. You just have to decide which suits your needs better and which features you prefer. Unfortunately, there is no way to have them all in one...
How often are you encountering POP in Vegas? Does Vegas Metro use it? What about the staties?
Looks like I'll be taking my scanner with me if they still use analog there. :)
Thanks for the quick response!
Cliff,
Just wondering if there were any plans to extend support to MAC users. We recently got rid of our only PC and I realized that none of the LI software is compatible with Macs. I know I can...
Cruiser66. I went from a 9500ix to a Redline a while ago. I can tell you that the Redline blows the 9500ix (which is just an upgraded 9500i) out of the water. Before I got sent out here, my daily...
I'd like to know as well since I plan on installing an aux speaker when I get back. Also, is it possible to have the same speaker wired to the LI alerts as well or is it one or the other? Does...
Is this just in Reno that they are using POP? Or is it something I should expect to leave on all the time living in Las Vegas? (moving there soon)
