    Default Auxilary Speaker Install

I hid my speaker for my CB, put it right next to my ear so I can hear all those truckers nice and clear. Before, I had it mounted down in the foot well, but my relxed driving position puts my leg right over the speaker, so it muffled it.

The panel was a royal pain in the ass to take off. I had to take out the entire rear seat, rear drivers back panel, half the seat belt mechanism, and all of the drivers side door seal.

    Some pictures.

Phenomenal! Not to be greedy, but I sure wish you had some pics of the install process. I'd love to see how you got that thing in there.

I don't think I have ever seen anyone else with a storm door on their garage door before!

^ That's 'cause you live where it's warm.

It's not at all uncommon, up here.

Yup, very common. We had it in our house in Cleveland too [hence the Go Indians sign]

And what type of pictures do you want? I still have the car apart, so I can take some.

Well, I can't really tell how you have that speaker mounted. It looks like the back side of it is recessed into that pillar cover. Just trying to figure out exactly what you did and how. I have to have speakers for six scanners in my car, so I am quickly running out of room. I can use all the ideas I can get!

The case is not recessed, just the base of the magnet.

The speaker started out something like this:

(some generic speaker I bought from Sparkys CB when I stopped in)

The speaker case is two pieces of plastic, as you can see the line in the picture. It is simply screwed together. I took the case apart, only saving the top cover. I then cut a whole the size of the magnet, and used the screw holes aleady in the cover [to hold the two halfs together] to attach it to my b-pillar.

I'll try to post some actual pictures tomorrow, I'm juggling a couple projects right now.
