See if it will charge while being powered on. If so, run an inverter, and just have it hooked up. Unlimited battery life

Yeah, that works. I already have one. Already too many wires in my car (as you saw in my Bonneville photo)

    NP-FV100 battery - wow over $100....

I think I'll stick with the wires.

I actually got some Utah Highway Patrol cars doing duty at a nighttime construction site on I-15. Sorry for the tunnel vision, I was in a hurry and f_cke'd up the edit job. But this is a 'throw away' vid. Anyway, it does capture low light pretty well, though grainy.

Seems out of focus. Is it set for macro maybe or is it just the resolution it was recorded at?

    Am I being too picky?
Well now that I've had time to RTFM I see that the unit was auto-focusing on the glass. There's a specific section in the manual about that... so I need to set it to a different mode and try again.... I see a new video in my future.

    Great photo!

Good info too. Do you have to use manual focus? I am guessing that it could make it suck when you are using the zoom.

BTW What kind of mount is that?

I have to put the camera into 'landscape' mode which fixes the focus at infinity. That's ok for fixing the camera in the car since the world should be in focus.

I purchased my 32GB Class10 card at Fry's Electronic stores. If you Google "32GB Class10 SDHC Cards" you will find some brands around $100.00 with free shipping.
