I agree that glass wouldn't be the best choice.
In a perfect world, saphire crystal would be the way to go.

The crystal in my Fortis looks nearly the same as the day that I bought it. I think I'm on the 3rd or 4th band after originally wearing it with the metal bracelet for the first year. Under most lighting conditions it looks like you can touch the face and dials.
I wear my watch to work and it has taken some hard knocks over the years, but it is built like a tank. I'd really like to see Valentine look into using these watch crystals. They even make them curved now. $65 to $135 per sapphire crystal is what I found after a little Google work. That might be something for the "Valentine V2 Pro" in the far-off future.
In the future, though, I'd rather see the laser go remote. First, range isn't cut down by the windshield. Second, you wouldn't be completely blind when a cop is zapping traffic from behind on an overpass.
Hey do you guys know if this stuff actually works on radar lenses? My father really loves this stuff from snowmobiles but how about RD Lenses?

Works good on plastics. Haven't tried it on RD lenses myself but I suspect it would do a good job.Originally Posted by aaseavey
