    Default Crazy Off Axis Range

No save today, just a good alert range.

Coming down a residential, I got a one LED Ka alert from the V1, on and off, almost like instant on, but the signal was so weak. The Valentine was most likely just reaquiring the signal. I'm getting this alert from over a two block range. (We have huge, almost quarter mile blocks here). I approach a stop sign and the signal bar ramps up to around 6 or 7 so I'm looking around frantically trying to find the cruiser. I look to my left, and there is a University Park Tahoe parked about a hundred yards down the street. The street isnt perpendicular obviously, it is at about a 30 degree angle, so that gave the V1 a slight advantage.

Also had a HUGE distance alert this afternoon on US 75 north of George Bush Turnpike. Richardson Police have dash mounted Stalker ATRs. I was on an service road southbound when I revieved another one LED alert Ka. This persisted for well over a mile when I got on an on ramp and saw a Richardson crown vic travelling the same direction as me on the service road ahead of where I was.
