Let me get some things straight

The V1 has the best X, K, Ka, KU, POP & Laser but can sometimes lack in detecting Ka Band up hills and around corners correct? So you would possibly need a RX65 or 8500 X50 or STi to pick up the slack for the V1 for Ka band and that would be all? Also the best version for the V1 would currently be v3.826 correct since all other versions are for manufacturing convenience only.


By the way this is my first post I am new to this forum and im serioulsly thinking about buying a V1 but with all the problems I keep reading about idk if I should.

if you want a v1 really bad just wait until they come up with a new firmware or hardware, find a cheap bel and use it as a backup, and yes the bel/escorts do tend to have better Ka range

just a newcomer that doesnt know better yet........like me when I first got into RDs.....i loved the V1..... then I started to realize, whats so great......the stupid number on the display, no I got one better.........the flashing LEDs??, no Ive got better..............the range???, no we're about the same..............THE ARROWS, now THOSE are COOL

the way i see it arrows are cool and then the threat(expert meter) is cool for the X50
