Default Just Purchased My First V1!!!

I just purchased my first V1. I've never owned a RD, so this will be a first. I have been lurking these forums all week and have decided to buy the V1. I live in South Florida and there seem to be several speed traps to track down. I'm not really a speeder...I just like to be aware of my surroundings. I also am a gadjet junkie. This little toy will fit nice in my Cadillac STS. I can't wait until it arrives! Hopefully I will get no E messages !

Nice car! What year STS do you have? I have my V1 in an 01 DTS. If you haven't already, check out www.cadillacforums.com. Lots of neat info on there and a few threads on hardwiring and stealth installs for the V1.

Thank you for the replies! She is a 1992. I've owned her since I was 15 and she has never let me down. Sbw doesn't have the Northstar...but she can still dig off the line . I don't have the sunroof, so I can't hardwire it to that like most of the ones I see on cadillacforums.com. I was hoping to wire it to the wires coming to the dimming mirror, but I don't have a volt meter. I will probably end up wiring it to the power wire for the CD player because I know where that is. I hope the V1 comes this week!

x2 and download the owners manual off of the website if you havent already. I felt like I had already owned V1 for years when mine finally came in the mail just from the posts and videos on this website. I have gotten to where I can almost program it as fast as I could my x50
