Default V1 needs to be able to junk out k band signals

V1 needs a k band junking feature. Lately I have been getting falses on the k band more frequently than before. It is due to junk cobra's and whistlers running around now that they are a commonality at wal-mart. It seems every day im getting a new false k band alert and im seeing a new cobra on the windsheild. If only VR could make a junk feature for the k band like they have for the ka band. It sure would prove to be usefull. It would be nice if they could find a way to cut down on the department store k band falses as well. I have began calling my v1 the grocery store finder. If your in a town where you can't find food turn on v1 and it will lead you to the nearest local grocery store just follow the arrows, it just gets annoying beep beep beep beep. Why can't v1 implement some better filerting like they have on the ka band, like escort, bel, cobra have even done. Heck its pretty sad when cobra even filters better than v1. Not saying I don't like v1's sensitivity but it could be maintained and tuned so that it picks up more legit sources is all. Instead of picking up every k-mart,gfs,best buy in a 5 mile radius.

it sort of does already, it seems to me from reading mikes lab reports that it automatically rejects fmcw (or whatever its called) K-band signals used by a lot of door openers and low budget traffic signs. Im not sure if there is a way to tell otherwise given that the signal is not a harmonic like the falses generated by crapras on Ka band. Jim has a textbook answer for how the J-function works on Ka, maybe he can enlighten us on why it wouldnt work on non-fmcw K signals...

If POP turned off? If not turn it off, If it is off you might want to talk to VR about the problem

i thought crap radars like whistler cobra and RMR falsed KA
and then good detectors like rx-65 and passport false k or x

    with my experience
    -cobra falses ka
    -rx65 either x or k band(one of the two can't remember tho)
    -x50 k band

Cobra doesn't "filter" K band! It has crappy sensitivity so it doesn't detect it very well. But they do make good K band transmitters.

maybe mike will develop a special filtering mode for us city people so we don't have to suffer. That would be great feature since you'll still have good range against real traffic radar, it's a lot more powerfull than a door opener

my buddy's cobra gives pop alerts to door openers , and it picks up the signal from a pretty good distance

this makes me think..would an effective radar jammer, at close range, interfere with a cobra?
