    Default V1 Pop Alert

If anyone has a V1 and has gotten a Pop alert- how does it show up? Just a brief k/ka burst and then shuts off? Or as you know when the V1 starts up there is the P~O~P indication. Does a "P" show up? Also has anyone received a "J" signal.- Just curious- I have now had my V1 w/POP2 two weeks now and everything seems normal and identical to the V1 without POP. RadarRoy you too are from Arizona like I am- is POP being used here?

    Default Arizona POP

There are a handful of MPH guns with POP that the Az Highway Patrol have. The ones that I know of are in a couple of the commerical vehicle inspector pick-up trucks

According to a NHP contact I have, the Nevada Highway Patrol is sending all of their POP guns back to MPH on a recall because of interference they are experiencing with the car's fan motor.

Default V1 w/POP2 doesn't not alert with special POP alert/tone

    CactusMan,

My understanding from Valentine is that they don't (as of now, at least) specifically alert to POP - just standard K and Ka alerts.

    Default V1 Pop Alert

Thanks Veil. I was just wondering. The V1 manual doesnt really address that part. It needs to be updated.

    Default Agreed...

I swear it feels like this is the same manual I got with my initial V1 (v1.6) about 10+ years ago.

    Talk about being stale...

    Default V1 Pop Alert

Veil- yes it does and if you buy a new V1 there is just an addendrum insterted stating that it now has POP alerts. Their web site too under statistics I think doesnt reflect that it now allerts to POP. Ka frequency still says at top end 35 Ghz I think. Its been a few days since I reviewed their website.
