Default Tiny chip glued into the inside of the lens cover on my V1

Does anyone know what this might be? I love to open all the radar detectors I have owned but I never seen anything like this before on the lens of the Valentine one.( V 3.861)A very tiny chip with a few very small numbers on it just glued on the inside of the lens cover. About half as small as a tic tac.
Anyone know what this might be. I have a great picture of it I just don't no how to upload the picture yet! Sorry I can email the picture to you I do know how to do that.
    Thanks Matt

It's a resistor, and has something to do with the antenna side lobes, or something like that.

Thanks for the pictures. There is no plastic lens cover in that picture.

Matt looks like it's just a resistor? Also possible it may have the unit serial number stored in the chip incase the unit is stolen and the serial numbers on the V1 are removed?

It's a resistor. And it's used for sidelobe control (100% certain of this).
Does the resistor on the inside antenna lense have any fuction? Do you know why Valentine Research placed it there?

Yes, it's used for sidelobe control, basically to control the antenna's response pattern...

So does this have anything to do with the "tunnel vision" that some V1 users report?

Does the V1 1.7 have this resistor? Not that I have seen.
