    Phillip559,

I'm quite familiar with how the units work and the issues at hand, but thanks for the review.

I look forward to the manufactures to fix this pop issue although I don't foresee it if everyone just accepts their detector in the disabled mode and not complain.

For me its unacceptable and looking forward to see who the TopDog will be with a RD with POP enabled without signal weakening along with a 16ms detection. Maybe the demand just isn't there.

IMO, too much effort required on the LEO's part to run POP. With all the fish in the pond (cars on road) out there, they can catch more than enough running non POP radar. Leave POP off.

Like I said in my other post, until I see a reason to keep POP off I will, but for now Im running POP ON with Autoscan and I am very happy with this.

I will report back in a few weeks with my final opinion.

At the end of the day we want out RD to give us enough time to slow down that is it. Features are supposed to be a secondary thing not a primary thing like manufacturers are TRYING to make us believe. They have hit a road block with trying to improve performance so they use feature implementation as a cover up. This can be proven easily. Lets send a 8500, Bel 985, etc. in to Mike B. and you will see sensitivity numbers similar to V1 1.7 which is over a decade old. The only thing a 1.7 did not do as well on was 35.5gh Ka. Everything else it hangs with the current models.

Something like the ON-Star system on GM vehicles only allowing the local cops to view your data as you enter their "zone"

    It will happen..

Yeah right... Like my constitution says I'm allowed to own a gun.

    rights mean nothing.
Were talking about the u.s. here, we citizens have no say so...if the government wants to sleep in out rooms with us at night they will do so, what are you going to do about it...
