I was charged $45, but I am not the original owner. I think if you are the original owner you get tune ups for free, or at least one for free.

I never had to pay for a V1 tuneup, even when out of warranty.

What's the criteria to get these tune-ups for free or not? And do these tune-up's include software updates? Oh, and I'm a new V1 owner, ordered August 1st and have the latest greatest 3.863 version number.

I am not the original owner of my 812. When I got it, it did not detect X and K so I sent it in to get fixed. I wanted to maintain the 812 so they fixed it for free.

All companies should take care of their customers the way Mike Valentine does.

That's pretty cool. But why did you opt not to upgrade the software / hardware? Did they say there would have been a fee otherwise?
