V1 saves me yet again!

I just got a new car and was out on a drive with the V1 when all of a sudden I got a short bust of K band. I was going about 65 in a 55 so I got on the breaks fast! About 5 seconds passed and again I get a K band burst, but this time it was a bit stronger. I knew the LEO had to be straight ahead of me. About 3 more seconds pass and I see the LEO heading the other direction. Right as I have him in view he lights me up with a full power burst of K band. And again as he is only about 500 feet from me he hits me again full power.

Man I was so happy I wanted to wave as I passed him, because had I not had the great range the V1 gave me I would have had a new ticket to match my new car. This LEO was trigger happy and he wanted to give me a ticket so bad he hit me 2 times before I passed him. V1..... there is no substitute!

Never wave or even give them a sign you know they are there. They will pull you over for nothing. I did that a couple times and got pulled over both times, once the piggy checked my registration and the other time I got a warning for no front license plate.

I agree 100%! I wanted to wave, but I agree it just isn't worth the attention. Especially since I still have temp plates on the car, I didn't feel like getting harassed.

It was that first short burst alert that really saved me. That was all the difference between getting tagged and having enough time to get down to the speed limit. I just wish I had the cam with me to do the story justice! Ah next time!!
