Redesigning / adding features to the V1...

Anyone know anything about such a thing? The aesthetics of this thing are sort of a love-or-hate issue (with me leaning more towards the latter), and I'm still missing things like frequency display as seen on Bel/Escort equipment.

Just asking to see if anyone has any clue about whether we'll ever see an updated V1.

Frequency display is patented by Belscort; the V1 won't have it.

We are V1 users, not VR employees, I doubt anyone here can do anything but speculate.

I'm sure VR is aware of the 9500 and its supposed attainment of near V1 sensitivity.

I bet they have plenty in store for when/if this threshold is actually attained.

Imagine if V1 devoted the same amount of Research and development into their products that Belscort does.

It's a shame, I was looking on the SEC website to see if Escort is a publicly traded company. Unfortunately, they don't appear to be. Otherwise, we could know exactly how much they spend on R&D by looking at their financial statements.

How about the most common complaint, different colored LED's for different band alerts.

I NEVER look at those LEDs. The only reason I ever look at the thing is for the arrows and the bogey counter. I get all the band and intensity information I need from the audio.

I have to agree. X and K band audio alerts are pretty close. Also very useful with mute functions.

I usually have the music up pretty loud, so I need all the info I can get. The additional audio from my speedcheetah mirror helps alot though. Im probably going to go deaf from the volume of my music.
