Yesterday on the I-65 north of Indianapolis, my 3.825 took a full blast of Ka from a trooper in the opposing lane, then went to J as the signal faded .

My V1 with 3.824 has been filtering POS detectors like a champ with no J-ing on real radar. Just today I got a "J" alert on a detector that I could plainly see and thought "I'll be damned...it's actually consistent." I had my doubts just after the upgrade but it's as if it has settled into a groove since then. I really, really don't understand what the variable is here. Especially when I've taken Ka hits at point blank range without an issue to date.
Hey kpatz,i got a quick question 4 ya,i also have the 3.813 version.......and it reads out the p.o.p on the start test,or wut eva ya call it....r u sayn that pop is on there but not actually, lol,i dont wanna sound stupid by asking ,but ur the only other person i seen that had the same version as me...i figure when u said pre pop,u meant meanin next version after 3.813 was when they started ta load the pop in it......Originally Posted by kpatz
My detector came with rev. 3.813 before I upgraded to 3.824. It does display P..o..P but only when option "I" is turned on. According to VR you should turn it off ASAP. I asked them about it when I discovered this and they said that it is some kind of factory testing utility that is not intended to be used on the road because it will "harm detection." My theory is that it's a beta version of POP detection that didn't work out. You should go into the programming mode and set it back to the factory default (arrow pointing up.)Originally Posted by brotha_from_alaska
aight koo, thanks fo the info, one thang i noticed is that my rd will go off for no apparent reason, like 5 times in less than a mile, mayb ill notice a diff rence once i disable that, thats wut ur sayn i should do right??????Originally Posted by brick
Sorry buddy, I was as dissapointed as you were on this one. I wish there was a way to turn the J option off without disabling POP....Originally Posted by JammerTests Webmaster
As far as I can tell you can do it by turning off the false alarm guard (option 6). I tested it with my very old Bel Vector 3LX and it worked like a charm. Option 6 on = either no false or a false followed by a "J." Option 6 off = goes absolutely insane on Ka when in the presence of my leaky Bel.Originally Posted by Sethy
if you all are still having falsing issue's V1 needs to know about it. they wont start on a new fix until we address it with them and hopefully get the ball moving to get this problem iron'd out!
Mike the tech was telling me they have been trying to replicate the problem but haven't had any luck! Let um know!!!
