V1 newbie, 1st weekend with it..... (in uk)

I got it in the post just as i was leaving for a weekend away so i jus plugged it in as it was and off i went!
Firstly i drive a peugeot wiv the uv reflective windscreen... how does it effect radar and laser detection? Also there is an area near the mirror of black dots to show its an area of normal glass. But wont that pattern affect the laser side of things also?
Secondly i got a fair few falses on the k band... at 1 point in bristol city center it had NINE k band signals (impressive?!) Did i read somewhere about narrowing the band for uk use or something?
Also as said in another thread i should turn ka off and ku on? Jus reading up on that...

you def. want to mount the v1 clear of the black dots and as level on the windshield as possible..as for UK use goes idk but there are a lot of UK'ers on here...
