    Default Best V1 settings for the corresponding living /driving area

    Has anyone already started once to post subjective (or objective if tested) best settings for the corresponding living / driving area ? I did not found anything with the search function, so I will start this thread herewith...

    I think, important inforations are:
    - Living / drining region
    - V1 Firmware revision
    - programming settings

    For my valentine are following infos true

    Living region:
    Switzerland

    V1 Firmware Revision:
    3.824 (and my older 2.695)

    Programming settings:

    X-Band OFF
    K-Band ON
    Ka-Band ON
    Ku-Band OFF
    Laser ON

    Ka Sensitivity MORE RESPONSIVE
    Euro Mode ON
    POP Mode OFF
    Ka False Guard OFF
    K-Band muting options OFF

    Remarks:
    These settings seems to give me best protection with optimal reactivity in my living country...

    what type of traps the v1 detect in swiss?

    I don't exactly know the used models, but as far as I know they use here in switzerland only K, Ka and Laser...no Ku, no POP Models, no X.

    Does it work against automatic cameras on the highway as well (I believe they have a weaker signal compared to mobile radars..)? From how far does it typically detect them?
    As a sidenote, do you know what are the legal issues with the detectors in Switzerland? (I know they are forbidden and there is a fee, but I don't know the details.)

    Some speed measuring devices are not radar/lidar (inductive loops, video speed measurement) and could not be detected at all.

    I think they take your device and give you a fee. Furthermore you will have problems with the custom since it's forbidden to import this kind of device in Switzerland.

    If they do not operate with induction loops in the road (like the new camera in the near of Oensingen) or most fixed cameras in the cities, the V1 works well (Laser in the Tunnels in Lucerne (up to 500m), fixed radars on highway near Pratteln for example works not bad (150-250m warning time), worst Radar after "Gubrist Tunnel" is very late warning (50m down to 10m sometimes). Mobile Radars have usually good warning range from 250m up to 1Km...plenty of time to slow down.
