If it happened in your driveway, claim it on your homeowners insurance instead of your auto insurance. They won't jack you around like the auto insurance. Only problem is homeowners insurance usually has a pretty significant deductible, so you end up eating a lot of the loss. Better than nothing though.

Of course, if it didn't happen in your driveway, then... well, you figure it out.

sorry man, I was lucky enough that when my car was broken into they left my RD, they were trying to steal the whole car though (KILL switches FTW)

how can you not have an alarm? anyway you should get something like this
Viper - Viper 5002 Responder 2-Way Security System

2 way alarms basically have your receiver beep/vibrate when your alarm is going off and it will even show you which sensor triggered the alarm

get some good flood lights w/ motion sensor and mount either a real camera or a fake camera under the light

Well, it did happen in my driveway and I checked with Allstate which covers my house and cars and my homeowners is $1000.00. Forget that idea! I was really almost ready to get a Bel V955 this weekend on closeout from Circuit City and have even talked myself out of doing that. Nothing compares to the V1. I have been around 9500i and X50, and they are really nice but the design and shape and kick ass of the V1 is the only detector that I feel I can really trust and drive with confidence.

I have decided that I am going to get another V1 at the end of the month. My wife has seen me sad long enough about it. So December 1st is the purchase date. I will have the cash by then. My boss felt really bad about what happened and gave me $100.00. cash out of his wallet. I told him "No,No"...he refused and said "Can't have sad workers working for you." and smiled and walked away....really cool boss. So I have something to look forward too again...another V1 (WELL KEPT THIS TIME!!!)

I asked Santa for an Alpine Alarm with pager for Christmas with an install package from the elves.

This makes me happy today. A feeling not since the day it happened.
