Default Does anyone recognize this radar gun?

Gulfnews: New radar guns to catch speedsters in Dubai from next year

Looks like the police in the UAE have a new toy. Does anyone recognize this device, and what band does it use?

It's a version of LTI's new TruSpeed gun called the TruCam with a built in Video Camera and Hard Drive.

New LTI TruCam

Interesting how even the author of the article doesn't know that it is a Laser, not RADAR.

aw, shoot, that's laser?

That's what I thought too, seeing that it's pretty much the same as what is used in Singapore as well, but I couldn't confirm. Time to get a laser jammer now --- will check out the link in your sig

The Laser Interceptor is by far the best defense against the LTI TruSpeed.

here is a bad idea, couldn't they use that camera setup to catch people using laser jammers? If we can easily record them during testing couldn't they do the same and once passing a law that they are illegal ticket you for having a jammer too?

Couldn't they just record the jammers working though the camera, maybe they could run it in IR mode or something.

If that guy is demonstrating how they actually shoot, I anticipate there will be a lot of cars they never get lock on, jammer or not. That's not a terribly steady way to shoot.

By the way, wtf does this have to do with Valentine 1?
