Default Looking for ideas on how to mod the arrows

I'm planning on modding my CD to as my avatar shows. I'm looking for ideas on how to mod the red arrows to blue. Normal CD arrows are red molded plastic, so I don't think the originals could be modded, but instead I'd have to make my own blue ones.

Looking for any suggestions from you guys

If you have deep pockets, I'm sure Mike would be glad to have his injection molder mold you some blue ones.

Other than that, you're options are severely limited. If only they weren't red through-and-through.

I looked into it before (to get clear), most companies didn't want to bother with you for under $500.

would there be any way to remove the red pieces, and then replace the openings with some sort of clear plastic? after that, a LED swap would fix the color issue right?

There is more to it. The plastic I believe needs to be a color to light up properly. Clear with a colored led behind it, I don't think will work well.

Maybe you could put a cluster of low intensity blue LEDs behind clear plastic? You'd have to remove the entire back and innards of the CD, and do a LOT of soldering to get them in there, but it seems that would work.

the only thing I can think of is to remove the red arrows, get a mold of them made, and then fill the mold with blue plastic.

I don't know what the arrow pieces are like though.

When you look at the insides of each arrow I believe it is only 1 led per arrow, that idea prob would not work.

I wonder if you could press the original arrows into modeling clay to create a mold, and then pour some blue tinted acrylic resin into the mold?

I have an idea on how to do it, but I will have to try when I get some money.
