Default A look at the V1's LO board...

    Hi everyone,

This evening I had fun fully disassembling DJ's V1 so that I could take pictures of all of the internal components for my V1 review. I also figured out why the V1 has tunnel vision on certain Ka band frequencies, but I won't talk about that right now. Anyway, here are some teaser photos which show both sides of the V1's internal LO board. I hope that Jimbonzzz (the Professor) has a fit and labels all of the circuits on the LO board like he did for the STi's LO board.

NOTE: Don't try disassembling your V1's antenna assembly. If you do then you will break wires since you don't know where they are soldered to the board which is bolted atop the antenna assembly.

DJ, your V1 is put back together and is working flawlessly. I figured that you would want to know that.

That's great! Especially since it wasn't working flawlessly when I sent it to you!

What did you do with those "extra" chips that fell out?

Is the left side of the photo the front of V1?

They were "extra" so I left them out. After all, you can drive your car just fine without having that "extra" tire in the trunk. Right?

I doubt that anything is different since that would require a new FCC ID? The daughterboard (not shown) which is attached to the top of the entire antenna assembly seems to be the part which gets revised from time to time since the one in DJ's V1 is dated 2008.
