You can mount it anywhere that doesn't obstruct its line of sight from the front or back. From the V1 website: "Mount Valentine One so that it has a clear view ahead
and behind your car, using one of the mounts supplied."
the V-1 windshield mount is the industry standard <---- edit
over the Rear View Mirror, as high as possible
your side of the RVM, as high as possible
route the wire to the side so it is not visible to people that might care if you have a detector
avoid using your Visor

If your rearview mirror has a power cord that runs to it, you can use an Invisicord to power the detector and mount it on the windshield beside the rearview.
Give the visor holder from radarbuster a shot maybe, otherwise you can use the visor mount that V1 gives you as part of the package. (If you bought directly from V1)
Also, I would highly recommend going the concealed display/hardwired right away.
Think about it this way, you spent good $$$ since you wanted the top of the line, make sure your install is top of the line and you'll be golden.
After doing this you'll never go back, you'll see others run these $50 Walmart detectors with this huge cable in the middle of the car and just laugh.
High low The Test I have Done showed it don't matter where it's at .......
