This was a straight level road condition so yeah I am impress with the rear range.

I was thinking the same thing that my rear seem to be better than the front. I was going home from work the other day and leo had park on the side of the road, it was Ka band and I think that I only pick it up about one mile out.

Yes it is possible ! The rean antenna on my 3.872 is very sensitive and picks up rear laser shots often. When a Leo is running C/O radar and is sitting still its very possible for over 3 mile alerts.

Just to clarify, laser detection is performed by a separate photodetector, normally a photodiode, not the antenna.

I do agree that the rear antenna seems to be a lot more sensitive to 35.5 Ka, especially off-axis. On the other Ka frequencies I have not seen any difference.

It is a V1 what do you expect. Here in Oklahoma, long and flat I get that all the time.

Wow, I know that I am impress and if I had known this before I got my Redline I would have probadly just went with the V1. I know that the Redline is a awesome detector because I use it going to Vegas but I think that I don't really need both but I have it.
