Default The Valentine One is by NO means invincible

These new low powered Ka band trucks are badass. Almost no detection on two instances until after I pass the truck:

^^ Dick move by the photo radar operator BTW

I will try a vertical mount soon and see if it makes a difference.

Easy fix: Make a bunch of "PHOTO SPEED TRAP AHEAD" signs and keep them in your car. When you come across one of these trucks, place one of the signs 1/4-1/2 mile before the truck. Come back later, after the truck leaves and retrieve the sign.

Even better: modify a Bushnell radar gun to transmit continuously and place that on the sign to warn RD users.
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

I have seen one of those in my area but I was using my Redline and I only got about 15 or 20 feet before it went off. I had my V1 up the other day and seen it but I was going the opposite way and my V1 didn't go off so this might be something that need to be address.

I heard that if you mount your Valentine One vertically, it will do much better because the radar that those trucks used are vertically polarized. Try that and see if it works!

EDIT: Oops you said that at the end of your post...well see if it works and report back! Haha.

I don't understand how this works behind a building. If you can't see him, then his camera can't see you. And I can't imagine it shooting sideways, at near point blank range, and getting an accurate reading.

In Alberta we don't have front plates. He snaps our rear plate as we pass him; the radar is pointed forward.

Thanks for the input. I do have POP on; no difference.

It looked pretty normal to me. My V1 wouldn't have gone off even if he was shooting regular K or Ka probably. There is a building blocking things and it's aimed 180* away from you and is super low-power from what I understand.
