Poor review of the V1

Anyone know whats with a certain Radar Test website (ending in .net) giving the V1 terrible reviews? I downloaded a PDF file called "Picking the Right Detector" to read, but every time the author got a chance they ripped apart some feature of the V1. It is too old, the arrows don't work right, a rear antenna is dumb, it falses too much, it costs too much, etc.

What made them hostile?

Probably Craig Peterson. The guy has long been suspected of getting kickbacks from some radar detector manufacturers in exchange for favorable reviews. I would guess that is what you found.

I saw or read a review from Radar Roy once that pretty much said the same thing. I got the impression it was personal TBH.

Unfortunately his latest review comparing RL vs V1 only shows C/O, no instant on. I guess that's the only test that gives RL the edge.

Gonna find all kind of info out there. Best to go with what owners test on the forum say, video comparisons are hard to dispute.

Check this one out ranking V1 #7 behind the Cobra and not even a Redline in the review... lots of poor reviews around.

There is really nothing good about V1 on there; anytime it is mentioned, something negative is said. Kinda sucks if this site is getting kickbacks (says the x50 is the best detector) Almost all Belscort models are the "best".

He/she even seems to like Cobra a bit... that makes them lose all credibility in my book!
