    Default V1 with gps

Question, I seen somewhere last month there is a product that is gps device that the V1 connects to, if your going less then 20mph any radar l alerts will be auto muted. However if u look up at the v1 it's lit up. Just no sound. The gps device does nothing out (saved alerts red light cam etc...)
    Anyone seen this before ?

The Cheetah Mirror with the V1 wireless interface does this. You can program in the minimum alert speed you want. I use 30 MPH. I do not know about other products from the same company, whether or not they have the same feature. We have a Cheetah section on this forum.

Consider going to the Trapster web site. It has many different options & alerts to compliment with your V1. But they do work independently of one another. Perhaps with V1's new serial communication protocol, there will be something that integrates the V1 with a 3rd party device,GPS or smart phone. Time will tell.

C100 by cheetah. I had this set up with my v1. I didn't like it. It just muted the v1 til I went over a certain speed. And you manually had to change the speed to what you wanted. You had to also purchase the wireless adapter and if you are using I concealed display you also had to purchase the radar node adapter. The only nice thing about the c100 was the voice alerts. And it is no longer available thru speed cheetah. It not really gps like the escort and bel products. It doesn't canceal out falses. If you want real gps you will need to go with a escot or bel product like I did.

Once valentine one gets GPS fully integrated, it will be nice.

However, for my driving - which takes me across hundreds of miles of roads in the state of ohio (i work in sales), V1 is best.

    Why?

Im always on familiar routes. I know where the falses are. My mind tunes out the v1 when Im in area where there is a band alert I know to befalse.

I want the better detection capabilities of the valentine one product. Including x-band, which is still a big threat in ohio.

I even question some youtube redline Ka detection data, and still believe V1 is the better performer - even in Ka.

Noone can argue against it for I/O on Q/T. Its the better detector period.

Add GPS to the V1 and it would be the undisputed king. I still believe it to be the best even without it.

Boy I'm surprise they still use lower frequency X band in Ohio.

With KA guard off, despite it being more vulnerable to false alarms, it does seam to enhance KA sensitivity, at a price of course. Some people don't think the arrows are a big deal but to me they are invaluable for many different situations like differentiating false from true bogies and knowing if hes coming up from behind my a$$ of is up ahead hiding somewhere.

Yes, they sure do. The ohio highway patrol uses it. Itsused mobile, stationary, I/O, good weather / bad weather, you-name-it.

The good news is you can detect it from far away.

Last week I detected I/O x-band, on i-70 in the hebron, ohio area, from 3.7 miles away.

The cop was sitting at a 45 degree angle in the median also.

I suspect he may have been firing out the rear of the car (away from me) too, because he appeared to be using laser (had his window down) and was using that on cars approachng him.
