This is crazy. Some posts in the thread are rather opinionated on the subject of Saavy. Which is no surprise to me as you can’t teach old dogs new tricks. If you’re already disappointed and have never used Savvy that’s too bad and I could say it’s your own fault because you have never used it and you have already formed a strong opinion. If you think it’s going to work for you for your situation great good for you $70 sweet. I'm sure it will be easy to install by you. Looking at it to meVR is only trying to improve using reliable methods. It's tech for older drivers driving Posche and the like.

Too true. God knows how those old Posche drivers even make phone calls much less deal with twentieth century stuff like Savy! The future is now and it sure don't belong to people who use dials...err well...nevermind...

    See what I mean.
This guy can't run a V1 maybe because Radar detectors are illegal to use in his state, so he's got 2xRedline’s and a sti-r. But yet V1 is lame and boring even thou maybe he has never used one.
    hmmm thanks for the input.
All respect Barry but your lame, boring and out dated quote is so off the mark. Radar detectors detect police the V1 detects police very well anything other than that (features) only complement the device. Escorts live is a great thing I agree but it's all at a price. Escort’s biggest seller is the 9500ix because of the GPS muting. VR have acknowledged that with savvy. I’m very convinced a lot of folk are going to like this even thou it doesn’t have an LCD lights a button and subscription fee you know all that unnecessary stuff that you have been condition to.

Dude I reckon V1's are awesome and I would love to have one! I was talking about Savvy not the detector itself.

I'll high light it for you.

Seriously, it mutes above a certain speed. Whoopdee fukcing doo! Thats it. Nothing more. I'm just disappointed for all the zombies out there who have waited a bloody long time for something so primitive. How long can a couple of arrows keep a company afloat. I don't know why I care actually because like you said I can't run a V1 until they make it stealth. Which is probably around the time police start using QT moving lidar.

    Highlight OWNAGE!

GHZ1 What always amuses me, is you claim people are forming strong opinions about this product, yet you say you are "already thinking that it is a good thing". Your opinion that it is a good thing has NO MORE BASIS than our opinions stating we do not think it is so (in so many words). You're a hypocrite if ever there was one, you can think it is a good thing already, but we can't think it is a bad thing? Opinion, no matter what the direction (positive or negative) is still an opinion.

-The whole point here is this... this accessory above all else, is not any amazing wonder of technology. It is an old, stale, analog technology which we know EXACTLY how it will work from the description. Simply set the speed through an analog dial LOL, all alerts under that threshold will receive the beep tone, then nothing else for given parameters.

Unlike Belscort products which rely on high technology, where one can use laisse-faire statistical analysis to surmise their products won't work under certain circumstance, due to their feats of technology... we need to really analyze their product(s).

    This needs NO analyzing.

Thanks for your usual condescending post Lord Airmore. Strong opinions =Valentine Savvy radar detector accessory = Lame, boring and out date
"This is a good thing" is not a strong opinion.
So as long as your vehicle has the OB11 connection it will work anywhere on the planet. Airmore while you are thinking about yourself and your own back yard I'm thinking about the international back yard you know does escorts live run in Armenia or Russia? We don't have it in my country. So V1 "savvy is a good thing"
I'm alittle bit suprized that no one has posted about the MPH v's KM/H and will it work? Even thou My car is 2002 it uses consult 11 (V35 but in your country it's G35 and they have a OB11 plug.) http://home.exetel.com.au/nds/NDSII/...=supportedcars can I get a converter/adaption plug that will work?

But hey if you guys just want to sit on your key boards and tap away negatives so be it.

You obviously are getting your points mixed, I never said that LIVE would work oversees, heck, I have said numerous times it won't be effective for me here (via surmised stats).

I have no clue why you are comparing Savvy and Live in regards to me... they do completely different things, you don't need Escort Live to work to have their (relatively more effective) GPS way at filtering false alerts.

As always Airmoore you got your point across it's the tech you think is crap. I'm talking about the product and its effectiveness as a muting device so I compeer it to other none fitted GPS Detectors eg redline etc. So then I compeer it to Escort live which is imo really great but I can't get it and so many other people can't as well. So for me and many others savvy is a good thing yes just from reading about it I can gather as you can. The tech which some people have posted is underwhelming will work just fine for the purpose. What else can VR do??
My may gripe is you guys haven't even used it open it up to see what’s inside of it and nobody even knows if it a start to something bigger. VR's new patent "spinning disk" maybe incorporated at a later date. Anyway I really would like to see this thread become informative not uninformative Like the one line slaps to date.
    cheers anyway
