I have already purchased two of your devices personally! Not to mention the family members and friends who purchased a V1 from my own accord!
I want to let you know that today I called for my V1 order. Today being 1/27/2012 .
I called and spoke with a lady who stated the name of Allice. Here at work I am an IT person, and called on my lunch break with my up-beat customer service attitude.
The lady was taking my information, and in asking her questions rudely paraphrased a statement I had. She was very rude all in general and I quickly became defensive.
I provided credit card, and the same exact address I ordered my second V1 from which she was able to pull from the Database. In fact she was so rude in tone. I entirely backed out of the order. Something made me feel uncomfortable about this transaction.
To top it off. I wanted it Saturday tomorrow. I was quoted 71 or something $. Nearly 100$ it seemed to me. Which had me flustered as I run business, and mail heavy objects for next day air at a better price than that. So I backed out. She had ALL of my information. I hope you listen to this call I had. Time was approximately 11:45am Central Standard Time (I live in Von Ormy, TX) you have my address databased from previous purchases as I mentioned.
After getting off the phone and feeling absolutely irritated and un-comfortible with a person who was that rude made me wonder 'What if I got a bad unit?' I would have to deal with such horrible customer service. So I thought I would complain here. Here is where I got very angry. I asked Alice her last name or operator number in a very friendly tone. She avoided the subject like a liar does when caught. I nearly was about to just flat out ask her "So you absolutely will not give me your last name or operator number?", but she provided the last name Adams.
Here's how much I don't trust the situation. I think she gave me a wrong last name. After a few minutes gone by I figured I would call back and go ahead and commit with the exaggerated 71$ charge to ship out the device. I called back and a lady answered. It was the same lady I spoke to. I recognized the voice to the point I called her by the name she originally provided me, and she recognized it was me and stated and when I asked her name she mumbled and said "Penny".
I doubted myself although suspicious of her voice and went forward anyways wanting my V1. She then told me sorry we are past 12 noone and we don't ship out anything further sir. So basically there was zero option of getting my V1 on Saturday despite the fact I was very willing to pay the extra costs.
SO YOU LOST A SALE!!! Up until now I have been 100% PRO V1. I have never tried an escort product. I called escort ordered a green unit since they are out of all other colors. I spoke with a Barbara Carson. So now I am about to go on to the escort forum and post this up, and post I am soon to try my first Escort 9500ix.
Mike .. if your reading this. Call me at 210-429-**** .. I still live on 5291 **** Rd.. My name is Cody ***. If anyone on this forum or reads this wants to call me with words of advice or just talk about similar experience please do. I guess for the moderators I am openly stating I am perfectly fine with my number being on here because I am absolutely pissed off right now with this Lady and the service I just got rendered. Lets just hope I don't miss those arrows because one thing is for sir I don't miss the customer service at VR.
What was just lost is the fact I was going to purchase my wife a V1 for her birthday for our new car. This purchase was for my birthday being February 12th. Your down two sales sir!
I just dished out 558$ total to have a Saturday delivered 9500ix green edition. I honestly didn't want an escort. Now I'm excited to see what escort is all about!
558$ ... half a freegin GRAND !!! I hope this is a slap in the face to Allyce, and I hope she loses her job because she's not even doing her job! She's costing VR money and losing customer base.
I can provide names for everyone in my family and friends who ordered a V1 all because I introduced it. I can even provide their address Mike! Give me a call. I hate to say this Mike but I love your detector a whole lot, and I think your probably the most intelligent guy in the business, but you need to start putting V1 on TV or get it in wal-mart or something so you can afford to pay people that will be HAPPY on those phones to take V1 orders. Otherwise escort is eventually going to shut you out with customer service alone!
A very dissapointed V1 owner.
Soon to be first time Escort 9500ix user.
