    Default V1 3.892 & Titanium Tint Question

I just purchased a new car and had it tinted. At the time, they said which tint I wanted and I just told them the best one avail all around (including windshield). They told me it would be the 3M titanium tint, and that it's not metallic, so I said okay. After they finished it and I was on my way home, I remembered reading about metallic tints and the v1's performance, and started freaking out lol (I forgot I had owned a radar detector -.-') So my questions are:

    1. Are titanium tint and metallic tints the same thing?
    2. How are the newer v1's performance w/ titanium tint?

Sorry if it's been answered before, I did a quick search and found nothing.

edit: I brought my v1 to a local store that has an x band automatic door, and it seems to have worked (got same results) just fine inside and outside my car. So I drove further out and tested it again and it seems to have gotten the same results. So I'm really confused at this point and hoping ppl would have some answers here.

Since they said that it isn't metallic and you are getting the same alert results then the tint doesn't have titanium in it. The word titanium is probably just describing the color of the tint and that also sounds cool. Many many years ago there were lots of products that used the word "turbo" even though the product didn't have a turbo charger.

lol thanks. I'm was getting mixed answers from all sorts of forums, even v1's site gave both answers.

    com/Lab/TechReport1.asp
"The "terrible" windshields all have a metallic film between laminations, usually silver-based"

    com/Lab/TechReport2.asp
"Metallized films had about the same effect as ordinary tint films."

edit: oh, it's not the shiny mirror kind. it looks like any other tint to me, so they could have put the worst tint on and I would have no clue.
